Guest Service Explorer (Full-time)

About the Role

As an Explorer, you'll be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring they have a seamless and memorable visit. Whether you're assisting with ticket sales, welcoming field trip groups, guiding guests to their next adventure, or rotating through exciting attractions like Tuki's Island Play Center and EECO Voyager, your role is essential in creating an amazing experience.

Since opening our Draper facility in 2014, we have welcomed over 9 million visitors and provided educational experiences to more than 650,000 students. No Experience? No Problem.

We welcome applicants from all backgrounds-no previous experience required. If you've worked in customer service before, that's a big plus, but we'll provide all the training you need to succeed. If you have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Welcoming and assisting guests with tickets, memberships, and event check-ins.
  • Providing information on exhibits, pricing, directions, and upcoming events.
  • Processing transactions using the ticketing system and managing event availability. Handling cash payments.
  • Upselling exciting experiences like animal encounters and adoptions.
  • Ensuring the Aquarium stays clean, safe, and inviting for all visitors by: Performing routine cleanliness checks in public areas, including restrooms, theaters, parking lots, galleries, and play centers. Monitoring appropriate use of the play centers.
  • Supporting crowd control during peak times and private events.
Physical & Environmental Considerations:
  • You'll be on the move and interacting with guests throughout your shift.
  • Be ready to assist with maintaining clean public spaces including restrooms and accidents on the floor.
  • Includes working in a wide range of temperature, noise, and light conditions, including indoor and outdoor settings
