General Summary The Guest Services Associate works in the food concessions stand providing essential functions of each retail facility including sales of goods, preparation of food and customer service. Provides direction to staff in absence of supervisor, in setting up and closing down operations on designated days. Must prepare product, goods and service according to policies and procedures, stock shelves and maintain inventory, operate cash register, count cash, clean work and service areas. There is a substantial amount of personal face to face interaction with the general public as well as providing excellent customer service.

Requirements and Job SpecificationsEducation Required: High School Graduate or equivalent
Other: Experience in fast food service, customer service, retail sales desirable. Minimal mathematical skill is required to count change perform addition, subtractions, multiplication, division with or without a calculator, balance cash, etc.
Functions and Duties This is a routine position in snack bars and concession stands.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Prepares and serves food according to standardized practice, adhering to sanitary standards and health and safety regulations.
- Load, unload, stocking and selling of food and non-food items.
- Cleaning and sanitizing work areas, tables, chairs, counter tops, storage areas and floors.
- Setting up and maintaining displays.
- Operates cash register, counting and remitting cash receipts.
- Sets up and closes down operation on designated days.
- Provides direction to staff in absence of supervisor.
- Coordinate staff scheduling with site management.
Supplemental Information As assigned, within general framework of 6-8 hours per day, 5-7 days per week during summer term; meal break as needed. The ability to work flexible hours including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
