SALARY RANGE: $50,000-$55,000/year

Summary

The Assistant Manager of Guest Experience is responsible for all necessary administrative activities required to manage a large part time team including but not limited to; recruiting, interviewing, hiring, uniform distribution, issuing employee ID's, special events oversight, scheduling and time keeping and payroll processing. The Assistant Manager also assists the Manager of Guest Experience and Tours in scheduling all event staff and supports the day-to-day operations of the stadium's guest experience department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Actively assist the Manager of Guest Experience and Tours as the secondary Manager on Duty for all U.S. Bank Stadium events.
  • Responsible for ensuring proper staffing levels have been met working with the Coordinator of Guest Experience, and that staff is at their post on time and in uniform.
  • Coordinate the collection, input and documentation of all required employee information for part time event staff.
  • Responsible for the design and execution of all event day paperwork consisting of position description sheets, supervisor deployment forms and dot maps.
  • Prepare and distribute regular incident updates to senior management making certain all other departments are made aware of any incident or fan feedback that impacts their department.
  • Assist in administering the scheduling and payroll system to efficiently manage an event staff of over 600 employees.
  • Coordinate the recruiting and hiring of seasonal staff and work in partnership with senior management to facilitate staff training.
  • Responsible for providing high level of customer service to every guest.
  • Assist in training and development of event staff prior and during the season.
  • Promptly respond to scheduling and payroll questions from event staff and forward suggestions, comments and complaints to management for issues to be addressed expeditiously.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Manager of Guest Experience and Tours.

Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or 3-5 years' experience in a related field
  • 2-3 years Supervisory experience
  • Previous experience in venue events, stadium environment, hospitality, or entertainment venue
  • Previous experience in a customer service role
Skills and Abilities
  • The ability to work independently and to manage priorities.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Communicates changes effectively.
  • Works with integrity and ethically.
  • Sets expectations and goal driven.
Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge using Microsoft office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

  • Have strong interpersonal skills and able to provide excellent customer service and hospitality.
  • Communicate articulately.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and grooming.
  • Able to stand for long periods of time. Walk long distances and climb stairs.
  • Must be a team player who is able to work well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be available to work ALL Vikings home games and all the major and/or ticketed U.S. Bank Stadium events.

  • Office: Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Work may require occasional weekend, holiday and/or evening work.
  • Gameday: Job requires employee to function in a high activity and heavily crowded professional sports venue. May work at heights. Employee will be exposed to inclement weather of varying degrees. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time, walk long distances, and climb up/downstairs. The employee is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit and must lift and/or move up to 45 pounds.
