Part time Guest Chef Instructor Enthusiastic, kind hearted Chef that enjoys people, To teach recreational cooking classes to local residents and AZ tourists visiting the area. Focus is on a global cuisine and pastry menu. Must be able to communicate your passion for food, culinary traditions & connect local agriculture to the recipes and wine. Instructors are paid by the class. $35-$50/hr Duties include: Menu and Recipes for class will be provided Read, research the recipes and ingredients used. Create the connection to local agriculture Complete all onboarding requirements Complete a kitchen visit Work with the Director of Culinary Arts to prepare for class Teach class Recruit and retain customers to take additional classes Collaborate with enology student/hired expert Maintain sanitation standards at all time Report broken equipment/class issues to Director Use checklist to sign off on kitchen closure Associate degree in Culinary Arts Wear required Culinary Arts program uniform (Chef coat, pants, non-clip shoes and cap) This position stands for long periods of time, lifts and transports items to and from events and must be timely. Work with a diverse student population Exhibit patience and a positive attitude in an academic learning environment Demonstrate reliability and good customer service skills Demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills Demonstrate time management and organizational skills, and ability to complete a variety of tasks on immediate or extended timelines Maintain work area in a clean and organized manner Adhere to the code of confidentiality in certain cases where discretion should be used Adhere to Yavapai College Code of Conduct as well as FERPA guidelines Have a strong understanding of technology and the ability to use it effectively and efficiently
