Purpose Statement: To lead people into a deepening relationship with Jesus Christ by directing and coordinating the primary growth environments of the church. This is a highly collaborative role that will work closely with the Lead Pastor and have a significant opportunity to speak into the continued growth, development and impact of Thomasville Church.
Responsibilities:
Groups
- Provide direction, support and strategy to adult groups, promoting expansion of this ministry area.
- Strategize and implement effective on-ramps into small group community.
- Help recruit, train, schedule, and appreciate group leaders.
- Provide direction and oversight to age graded groups on Sunday mornings.
- Ensure group environments are prepared and set up for gatherings.
- Develop and implement a Care Strategy within the church.
Service Programming
- Provide direction and oversight to our service programming.
- Help recruit, train, schedule, and appreciate musicians and volunteers.
- Ensure necessary sound, audio, and video technology is available and maintained.
- Collaborate in the planning and implementation of creative guest experiences.
- Provide an on-stage presence as part of the Hosting Team.
Preaching
- Preach approximately 9-12x a year on Sunday mornings.
Digital
- Continually improve and maintain our social media and website platforms.
- Develop and implement digital strategies to further our reach and growth.
Qualifications:
- Invests routinely in personal and spiritual growth.
- Thinks strategically and critically.
- Self-starter who takes initiative to evaluate and improve.
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field and/or previous ministry experience.
- Excited and comfortable serving in a church that unchurched people love to attend.
- Experience within Irresistible Church Network or North Point Ministries preferred. Or alignment with the church perspectives discussed in "Deep & Wide" by Andy Stanley.
- Agrees with Thomasville Church's Statement of Beliefs.
