About the role Hingham Institution for Savings is seeking an analytical and results-oriented Growth Marketing Manager to be the driving force behind our marketing efforts. As the leader of our marketing function you will be responsible for developing, executing, and optimizing data-driven marketing strategies across a variety of channels, with a strong emphasis on measurable results . The ideal candidate will be a data enthusiast with a deep understanding of digital marketing best practices, attribution models, and a proven track record of scaling successful campaigns. You will also bring a performance-focused mindset to the management of our website, content creation (both digital and print), and organization of client events.
We are seeking a proactive, solutions-oriented self-starter who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and is deeply motivated by achieving tangible success. This is a hands-on role requiring both strategic thinking and active implementation of all marketing initiatives.
Responsibilities - Performance-Driven Digital Marketing & Email Marketing: Spearhead the strategic development, design, and execution of comprehensive marketing campaigns, with a primary emphasis on email and direct mail marketing initiatives across the entire customer lifecycle (acquisition, onboarding, engagement, and retention). This includes rigorous vendor selection and management, proactive maintenance of domain health and sender reputation, the strategic development of compelling email content, thorough A/B testing protocols, and the diligent application of segmentation and automation techniques. Oversee technical infrastructure and ensure performance measurement and optimization of all marketing activities.
- Data Management & Analytics for Performance: Assume ownership and management of our CRM, integrating both internal and external data sources. Possess a strong aptitude for in-depth data analysis, identifying key trends and actionable insights to inform all marketing strategies. Maintain the integrity and accuracy of critical data systems, ensuring data quality and accessibility for effective decision-making. Demonstrate comfort and proficiency in navigating and managing complex data systems.
- Performance-Oriented Content Creation & Management: Develop and manage the creation of compelling marketing content across various formats, with a critical focus on aligning with established style preferences and visual identity. This includes the production of the annual report and various other physical and digital content pieces to support the Bank's objectives, all with a measurable performance outcome in mind. Create client testimonial content for distribution across both digital and print channels.
- Website Management: Ownership of the bank's website, including vendor management, content strategy, user experience optimization, and ensuring alignment with performance marketing goals such as lead generation and conversion. Oversee website development/redesign projects and the creation of targeted landing pages and microsites to enhance campaign effectiveness.
- Performance Monitoring & Multi-channel Optimization: Diligently monitor the performance of all marketing campaigns (digital and non-digital, including print) through rigorous quantitative analysis. Implement structured, data-driven experiments to continuously evaluate and improve campaign effectiveness and ROI across every marketing touchpoint.
- Event Management: Plan and execute bank events, including client events and the annual meeting, with clear objectives for engagement, lead generation, or brand building, and implement methods to measure the success and ROI of these activities.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree (or higher) in a related field with a strong quantitative background.
- Minimum of 4 years of proven working experience in performance marketing, with a preference for extensive experience managing in-house digital performance marketing.
- Proficient in using digital advertising platforms, particularly Google and LinkedIn
- Strong experience with email marketing platforms, domain management, and improving email performance metrics.
- Solid analytical skills and a data-driven approach to marketing.
- Basic understanding of organic acquisition strategies, including Search Engine Optimization (SEO), and Google Analytics.
- Creative in identifying target audiences and developing engaging campaigns.
- Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement.
