The Group Sales Manager is responsible for generating group business for Shutters on the Beach and Hotel Casa Del Mar. This role involves proactive sales efforts, relationship management, and strategic planning to maximize revenue and occupancy through group bookings. The Group Sales Manager will develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, generate new business opportunities, and achieve sales goals through effective prospecting, negotiation, and contract execution. This manager will handle groups with 10 rooms or more on peak in their assigned market segments and will also sell 0-9 rooms with events for up to 20 people max.
Key Responsibilities: - Identify, prospect, target and secure group business across diverse and robust market segments.
- Develop and execute strategic action plans to drive sales and achieve revenue goals by working with the Director of Group Sales to develop target campaigns for designated Market segments.
- Organize & host FAMS along with on-site events to showcase the hotels.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with industry professionals, meeting planners, and corporate decision-makers.
- Prepare and present proposals & contracts that align with client needs and hotel revenue objectives.
- Conduct site visits, property tours, and presentations to showcase the unique offerings of Shutters on the Beach and Hotel Casa Del Mar.
- Collaborate with third party organizations such as Helms Briscoe, DMC, SMTT, Visit CA, ALHI and others to expand market reach.
- Meet and exceed revenue and booking goals while maintaining high levels of client satisfaction.
- Participate in industry trade shows, networking events, Group FAMs and sales missions to promote the hotels and build brand awareness.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in business, Hospitality, or a related field preferred.
- Group Sales experience in the hospitality industry.
- Proven track record in Group Sales
- Strong network within hospitality, tourism and Event planners.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Salesforce, Delphi or similar platforms.
- Willingness to travel
