• Prepare for each class by planning choreography, selecting music, and setting the focus for the day in advance.
• Ensure timely setup and start of each class before students arrive, maintaining punctuality throughout.
• Deliver engaging, safe, and effective group fitness classes following industry guidelines and agreed-upon formats.
• Take responsibility for all music used in class unless provided by HFAC or an HFAC vendor.
• Educate members on proper exercise techniques, emphasizing safety at all times.
• Contribute to program development by offering innovative suggestions on training and programming.
• Build professional relationships with class participants, learning their names and goals to enhance their membership experience at HFAC.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper care of HFAC equipment, assisting participants as needed, and conducting on-the-spot equipment maintenance.
• Uphold high standards of customer service, membership building, and professionalism in line with HFAC policies and training.
• Develop a strong understanding of club amenities, services, and products to effectively address member inquiries and needs.
• Assist with special events, promotional setups, and general club assistance as required.
• Foster professional relationships with clients, ensuring consistent professional standards are maintained regardless of personal connections. Qualifications: Essential Requirements:
• Group Exercise Instructors are required to be currently certified in First Aid & CPR/AED and have a nationally recognized certification to teach group fitness such as ACE (American Council on Exercise), AFAA (Aerobics & Fitness Association of America), or ACSM (American College of Sports Medicine)
• Must have a certification in the specific class format that you're applying for. Compensation: $28 - $35 hourly
