CLIENT SERVICES / Responsible for leading Octagon's client business and day-to-day management of client programs.

Location: Our headquarters is in Stamford, CT, but the location of this position can be flexible with a priority given to candidates in Miami. We are open to hybrid work (3 days a week in office) in one of our office locations - Miami, FL; Stamford, CT; New York, NY; Atlanta, GA; or Charlotte, NC. We will also consider a remote-based working arrangement for qualified candidates with East Coast working hours as a prerequisite.

Our client is an award-winning global Payment Technology brand known for their iconic brand marketing position and initiatives. Their sponsorship programming covers a wide variety of ambassadors, properties, and segments, showcasing their diversity and market strength. As the Group Director, you will be responsible for leading the Americas Motorsports strategy and execution while successfully contributing to the future growth of our clients' sponsorship portfolio.

This position requires a strong and advanced skill set in the F1 space, providing leadership to our team's delivery of intuitive client service, concept/presentation development, project management, asset utilization, agency integration, and measurement of sponsorship initiatives.

Formula 1 experience is required.

THE WORK YOU'LL DO

  • Be a team leader cultivating an inclusive environment for all team members
  • Build and cultivate positive client relationships
  • Lead day-to-day project management for the region
  • Collaborate with the global team managing the F1 team relationship
  • Assist with the development and execution of integrated sponsorship activations, initiatives, and campaigns using the client's sponsorship portfolio and assets
  • Lead on the development of key documents to include senior executive presentations, strategy documents, competitive reports, best practice guides, and case studies
  • Oversee multiple sponsorship project work-streams from development through execution
  • Become an authority on our clients' business and the Financial Services category
  • Help identify, analyze, navigate, and negotiate sponsorship marketing opportunities for clients
  • Collaborate with the agency team and global partners on sponsorship activation and campaign content creation (e.g. digital, social, video)

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • 7+ years' experience in working in Formula 1
  • Fluent in Spanish (written and verbal) is required; fluent in Portuguese (written and verbal) is a strong plus
  • Project management background a requirement (CPM experience a plus)
  • Payment Services industry experience/knowledge a plus
  • Prior strategy work: ability to be a key contributor to the strategic direction by supporting the creation and implementation of marketing strategy and program development
  • Previous demonstrable experience working with multiple Latin America markets
  • Shown success building and maintaining trusted client and partner relationships
  • Experience in developing successful integrated sponsorship activations, initiatives, and campaigns
  • Validated ability to work as part of a team and to tackle problems effectively and independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-starter who will take initiative with new projects and work with a variety of people
  • Capacity to become an expert on the client's brand and the state of the client's industry
  • Experience with development and maintenance of project tracking tools
  • Ability and flexibility to travel domestically and regionally in the Americas (US, CAN, MEX, and BRA) up to 40%

L6: The base range for this position is $90,000 - 120,000. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee's/applicant's background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.
