Ground Systems Controller with Security Clearance

Overview Echelon Services is seeking a mission-driven Ground Systems Controller to provide critical technical support in Wahiawa, Hawaii. This role is essential to sustaining SATCOM and DATACOM infrastructure and ensuring system readiness to support national security communications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SATCOM systems, facility infrastructure coordination, and hardware/software troubleshooting. Responsibilities Install, maintain, and provide technical support for co-located WSOC Modernized Earth Terminal (MET) systems Support and maintain the following systems: Replacement Radio Frequency Interconnection Subsystem (RRFIS) Replacement Patch and Test Facility (RPTF) Replacement Satellite Configuration Control Element (RSCCE) L-Band Conversion System (RLCS) Perform software upgrades and configuration management for SATCOM and DATACOM equipment Submit and track facility-related work orders (HVAC, UPS, electrical, etc.) Serve as the on-site equipment coordinator responsible for: Facility-related maintenance Security systems (alarms, surveillance, etc.) UPS for both facility and user systems HVAC and generator systems Server room operational support Coordinate directly with base public works, contractors, and support organizations Prepare, submit, and track work statements, justifications, and Requests for Work Authorization (RWA) Act as the point of contact for building deficiencies and corrective maintenance measures Maintain all technical records, building alteration documentation, and reconfiguration plans Provide quality assurance and control for facility repairs and equipment servicing Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree OR a minimum of four (4) years of relevant professional experience CompTIA Security+ (or higher) certification One (1) year of experience or education in SATCOM principles and theory Three (3) years of operational experience with commercial or military SATCOM systems Familiarity with intelligence tasking mechanisms and capabilities relevant to SATCOM interference response Active DoD Top Secret clearance Preferred Qualifications One (1) year of experience with SATCOM apportionment planning and allocation processes across ground, space, and control network layers Hands-on experience with military or commercial SATCOM systems and tools, including but not limited to: DoD, Service, or Commercial Teleports and Gateways Satellite Communications Operations Centers and Watch Offices Mobile User Objective System (MUOS), WGS, MILSTAR/AEHF, and commercial SATCOM constellations SATCOM planning/management tools such as: Joint SATCOM Management and Planning System (JSMPS) Joint Integrated SATCOM Tool (JIST) Joint SATCOM Management Enterprise (JSME) Enterprise Management and Control (EM&C) SATCOM Ordering, Management & Situational Awareness Tools (SOMSAT) Joint Spectrum Interference Resolution (JSIR) Satellite Database - Management Tool (SDB-MT) Salary at Echelon Services is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $110,000 - $140,000 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Echelon's total compensation package for employees.
