The pay for the Grocery Clerk ranges from $13.00/hr to $21.00/hr, with a starting rate of $17.69/hr.
Schedule: Weekend availability is required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Front End: Ensure every customer has a remarkable shopping experience by building and nurturing relationships.
- Efficiently perform sales and cash functions using the POS system.
- Check for accurate scanning of each item and report discrepancies.
- Verify cart content during customer exit as a receipt checker.
- Execute store opening and closing functions as assigned.
Sales Floor and Stocking: - Focus on increasing sales while managing shrinkage effectively.
- Assist customers in locating products and inform them about store services.
- Receive inventory shipments and maintain organized shelves through proper rotation.
- Replenish sales floor and ensure all merchandise is properly labeled.
- Participate in inventory and cycle count processes as needed.
Customer Courtesy: - Maintain a clean and safe environment for both staff and customers.
- Regularly tidy the parking lot and store entry area.
- Collect and return shopping carts to their designated areas.
In addition to the above duties, you may be assigned additional responsibilities as required by Store Management.
WORK ENVIRONMENT Work is conducted in a retail store open to the public, with exposure to varying weather conditions and moderate noise levels.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 6-12 months of retail cashier and/or stocking experience is required, with one year of retail selling experience preferred.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Exceptional customer service skills with a willingness to assist team members.

- Basic mathematical aptitude with a good sense of logic.
- Motivated, self-driven, and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Flexibility to work various hours, including holidays and weekends.
EDUCATION High School Diploma or equivalent work experience required.
PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS This role requires physical activities, including standing continuously, walking frequently, and occasional lifting of weights up to 50 lbs.
