The pay for the Retail Sales Associate is $13.00/hr to $21.00/hr, with a starting rate of $19.50/hr.
Schedule: Open availability required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Front End:
- Provide customers with an exceptional CHEF'STORE experience by building strong relationships.
- Efficiently manage sales and cash transactions using the POS system.
- Verify pricing and correct any discrepancies in the inventory system.
- Conduct visual inspections for product integrity during the checkout process.
- Perform store opening and closing duties as assigned.
- Sales Floor and Stocking:
- Focus on increasing sales and reducing shrinkage as part of your daily activities.
- Assist customers in locating products and promote available services.
- Help with inventory shipments and ensure shelves are stocked neatly and organized.
- Ensure all products are correctly labeled and priced.
- Engage in daily stock replenishment following proper rotation procedures.
- Customer Courtesy:
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for both customers and staff.
- Stay vigilant about safety hazards and cleanliness throughout the store.
- Assist in gathering and maintaining cart organization in the parking lot.
In addition to these duties, other responsibilities may be assigned by Store Management.
WORK ENVIRONMENT This role is based in a retail store, open to the public, with exposure to varying weather conditions and moderate noise levels. Duties may require the use of ladders and performing tasks in different temperature ranges within the store.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - 6-12 months of retail cashier and/or stocking experience required.
- Preferred: One year of retail selling and/or customer service experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - A strong desire to provide exceptional customer service.
- Ability to think logically and navigate challenges effectively.
- Motivated and adaptable, capable of multi-tasking and working collaboratively.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Basic computer skills and cash handling experience are a must.
EDUCATION High School Diploma or equivalent work experience is required.
