Grocery Associate

Position Type: Part-Time
Average Hours: Fewer than 30 hours per week
Starting Wage: $17.50 per hour
Wage Increases: Year 2 - $18.00 Year 3 - $18.50 Year 4 - $18.50 Year 5 - $19.50

Duties and Responsibilities: Ability to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

Work collaboratively with team members and effectively communicate important information to your leader.
Maintain the security and confidentiality of all documents and data within your area of responsibility.
Complete additional duties as assigned.

Cashier Responsibilities:

Process customer transactions, perform cleaning duties, and restock shelves and displays neatly.
Deliver exceptional customer service, assisting shoppers with their needs.
Provide feedback to management regarding product quality, inventory discrepancies, scanning errors, and other operational concerns.
Participate in inventory counts and monitor stock levels for accuracy.
Adhere to cash handling policies to reduce losses.

Stocker Responsibilities:

Efficiently stock shelves and rotate products to ensure freshness for customers.
Follow merchandising guidelines to create attractive displays.
Organize new inventory and dispose of empty boxes appropriately.
Safely operate machinery and adhere to all safety standards.

Physical Demands:

The role requires regular movement including sitting, standing, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, and walking in-store.
Stockers must be capable of lifting items weighing up to 45 pounds and stocking products at various heights.

Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Provide prompt and courteous customer service.
Perform general cleaning tasks to maintain company standards.
Interpret and apply company policies and procedures.
Exhibit excellent verbal communication skills.
Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Demonstrate effective time management.
Have knowledge of the company's products and services.

Cashier: Ability to efficiently operate a cash register and comply with local regulations regarding alcohol sales.
Stocker: Must have morning availability to support operational needs of the store, with shifts beginning as early as 5:00 a.m.

Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience in retail is preferred or a suitable combination of education and experience.
