OVERVIEW A Graphic Designer / Marketing Production Coordinator is a skilled professional responsible for creating high-quality visual designs across various mediums. This role requires an understanding of graphic design tools and systems, design principles, typography, and color theory, as well as strong technical skills and attention to detail.
This position requires the ability to be onsite, in-office 5 days/week in our Corporate office to promote a collaborative and creative environment. RESPONSIBILITIES Project Management: - Project Leadership: Lead and manage design projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project goals. Establish project timelines, milestones; identify and address potential risks and challenges.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with marketing professionals, product managers, engineering teams, and other stakeholders. Follow established processes to ensure coordination and execution of projects through production.
Vendor Coordination: - Technical Proficiency: Ensure files meet vendor specifications regarding formats, color modes, resolutions, and bleed settings.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough pre-press checks, including proofreading, image resolution verification, and color consistency.
- File Preparation and Submission: Package and submit files according to vendor guidelines, including naming conventions and any required supporting materials.
Design and Layout: - Conceptualize and Create: Develop innovative and visually engaging design concepts that align with the brand's identity, messaging, and target audience.
- Visual storytelling: utilize design elements to effectively communicate stores and messages.
- Multi-Channel Design: Create designs for print and digital platforms, including brochures, technical instructions, product catalogs, packaging, and social media graphics.
- File Preparation: Prepare design files for print or digital production, ensuring they meet technical specifications and are compatible with various platforms.
- Software Proficiency: Utilize Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and other relevant design software to create visually appealing and effective designs.
- Marketing Support: Provide design support for marketing campaigns, tradeshows, product launches, customer presentations, and other materials.
QUALIFICATIONS: - Bachelor's degree in graphic design or a related field and/or 5+ years of experience in a graphic design role.
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and extensive knowledge preparing files for print.
- Familiarity with Adobe AEM.
- Excellent understanding of design principles, typography, and color theory.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience leading and delivering successful design projects.
Specialized Skills: Experience with animation, motion graphics, 3D renderings, or retail-specific design elements like planograms, merchandising, shelf talkers, and point-of-purchase displays can be beneficial.
