Graphic Designer IV Summary: The purpose of this position is to provide Graphic design specialists qualified to combine graphics with animation to create multimedia content for eLearning, web, and videos/films in support of the U.S. Army Medical Center of Excellence (MEDCoE) at Ft. Sam Houston, TX Job Description: Design and produce graphics in support training development courseware Provide technical knowledge and expertise on computer graphics, digital photography, videos, animations, sequencing, and audio/visual effects in various authoring and software packages Develop graphic user interfaces and designs illustrations for digital applications Use creative techniques to produce stimulating multimedia-based educational materials for adult learners Develop technology based instructional programs, training manuals and instructor guides Collaborate with other designers and cross-functional partners Conduct and participate in generative and evaluative user research with direct access to internal users Leverage qualitative and quantitative data to generate actionable user insights Design flows that are intuitive, elegant, and provide value for our end users Deliver production-ready designs and documentation and consult with instructional designers, developers, and subject matter experts to see designs through to implementation Utilize and contribute to our organization's design brand Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in related field 15+ years of experience Experience designing responsive web applications and interfaces Experience with a variety of methods, including interviewing, observation, diary studies, card sorting, tree testing, task analysis, and surveys Have expert skills in visual/UI design and prototyping tools (includes Figma or equivalent) Able to gracefully articulate and defend design decisions to peers, partners, and leaders; a storyteller Contingent upon award of contract DAWSON is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action/VEVRAA federal contractor.
