A day in the life. The Marsh McLennan Insurance Agency LLC Graphic Design Production Intern program is a 14-week, Spring Semester program with approximately 20 hours of work a week. The program is designed to build the skills and knowledge needed to grow into a professional graphic design position while being provided the opportunity to assist the Marketing & Communications team with various tasks and projects. Throughout the internship, the Graphic Design Production Intern will build the knowledge needed to successfully obtain a future position, develop time management and organizational skills to complete projects by established deadlines within a professional setting, and work interpersonally with different functional teams. This position will support the design team with a variety of hands-on projects, including creating graphic assets for our website, social media, and corporate communications. Interns are under close supervision and performance is monitored to determine qualification for advancement as opportunities arise. This will be an entirely remote position - Spring 2025. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Study and understand our corporate brand guidelines and be able to implement brand standards in all assets. Aid in producing assets like static and animated graphics for social media, blog thumbnails, landing page assets, and email headers for internal and external communications. Meet with designated project leads to plan, conceptualize, and execute design proofs. Turn around revisions from project leads and stakeholders in a timely manner. Collaborate with the design team on brainstorming for brand awareness campaign expansion. Design collection of new social media templates for regional marketing teams to leverage. Assist with collateral updates. Design flyers, overview sheets and print advertisements. Polish Word documents to adhere to our approved brand formatting. Elevate PowerPoint presentation layouts with visual enhancements and proper formatting. Attend internal design calls and national monthly design calls to stay aware of project updates and brand discussions. Education and Experience: Undergraduate within 1-2 years of graduation, working towards a bachelor's degree preferably in Graphic Design, and with a competitive academic standing. Requires a functional understanding of graphic design theory and principles. Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Animation skills are a bonus Ability to work on a PC platform. Strong interpersonal skills to establish rapport with team members and marketing colleagues. Highly creative, detail-oriented, dependable, self-motivated, resourceful, organized, and deadline-driven. Must have exceptional time management skills, ability to interpret art direction, and apply feedback to successfully completed projects. Ability to problem solve and work semi-autonomously in a fast-paced, remote environment. Portfolio or samples of work required for consideration. The hourly rate offered will be determined by factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
