Founded in 2012, Invisible North is a female-owned creative marketing agency headquartered in NYC with global reach. We are a team of culturally fluent strategists, creatives, designers and producers pushing the limits of possibility. We are seeking a design student/graduate with graphic design skills to support the Invisible North creative team in our New York office. This position offers hands-on experience with a fast-growing creative marketing agency. You will be involved in all stages of a project from initial concept to design execution and creative production. Applicants should have a relevant portfolio with advertising / marketing / branding applications and all necessary technical hard skills.

This is a temporary, hourly-paid position; Invisible North is not a degree-granting or educational institution. Any school credit earned from this experience shall be granted through your current educational program.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with senior designers and cross-functional teams to support a variety of brand and experiential projects
  • Contribute to the development of creative concepts through research, ideation, and visual exploration
  • Assist in producing design assets-including moodboards, mock-ups, decks, and both print and digital graphics
  • Translate ideas into clear visual expressions by sourcing imagery, creating assets, and preparing production-ready files
  • Support communication with external creative partners when projects require out-of-house execution
  • Learn and apply studio tools and processes, gaining hands-on experience in turning strategic insights into creative solutions
  • Execute work that balances imaginative thinking with the practical needs of timelines, budgets, and client goals

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong typographic skills with a solid understanding of campaign visual systems and brand architecture
  • Strong understanding of how to craft distinctive visual languages tailored to brand-specific campaigns
  • Clear communication style, an ability to work collaboratively with others, and a strong sense of community and team spirit
  • Excellent time management skills, demonstrated ability to organize, set, and implement priorities while balancing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines
  • Very comfortable with computers, new technology/design programs, project management software, email, and IT troubleshooting
  • Experienced in Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Office, Google Docs, (HTML, CSS, motion design, video editing, animation, and photography a plus)
  • Self-starter, proactive, organized, flexible, and eager to learn

TO NOTE:

  • For NY-based applicants only
  • Interns will be required to be in the office one day every week
  • The IN office is located in Brooklyn, NY

  • Hourly rate is $25/hr, 40 hrs/wk
