BlueHalo's, an AV company, RF-CUAS Group designs, develops, and manufactures
Titan C-UAS, the industry-leading autonomous counter-unmanned aerial system (C-UAS) that mitigates Group 1 & 2 drone threats. The RF-CUAS Group is looking to hire three part-time paid interns to support our
Engineering,
Software Development, and
Design teams. Interns will have tangible, hands-on experience supporting Titan development and production. We value individuals with strong interpersonal skills, and a willingness to learn within a fast-paced environment. Interns will be expected to work on-site at our San Diego, CA facility for
20hrs/week during normal business hours, with
2-month internship duration.
Responsibilities: We are seeking a motivated and creative Design Intern to support day-to-day graphic design functions, including design, layout, formatting of product collaterals, photography, and graphic asset library organization. This role will focus on multi-format user, product, and corporate documentation, with responsibilities that include updating documents to align with new product offerings, creating compelling digital designs through illustration, infographics, and artwork, and contributions to technical writing and copywriting needs.
The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of design principles, typography, layout, print publication, and information hierarchy, demonstrating strong communication skills to interface effectively across the other Titan product technical teams.
This internship offers an opportunity to develop design skills while working alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities: - Utilize design tools such as Figma and Photoshop to create engaging visual designs.
- Gather and incorporate feedback from peers to refine design concepts.
- Communicate design decisions effectively through written and verbal presentations.
- Help develop or update style guides and brand kits to ensure consistency in visual representation.
- Organize and maintain design files, assets/asset libraries, and documentation to ensure easy access for the team.
- Support the RF-CUAS Design team with various design projects and initiatives.
Requirements: - Degree in-progress or recent graduate in design, marketing, communications, or a related field
- Portfolio of ideally both print and digital design work
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
- Basic knowledge in prepress formatting (print layout, publishing, color models, etc.)
- Detail-oriented proofreading / ability to check work
- Proficiency with Microsoft tools and platforms (Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams)
- Proficiency with Figma and/or other collaborative design tools
- Due to the nature of this position U.S. citizenship is required
