Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Graphic Design Intern to join our Commercial team in Ogden, Utah. Under the direction of the Creative Services Manager, our future Graphic Design Intern will work closely with the regional and global brand marketing, trade marketing and digital marketing groups as well as the local sales and commercial groups to ensure timely and market relevant delivery of all our marcomm and selling tools. They will provide creative support and solutions for the GTM organization in the Americas. They will monitor and ensure all executions meet brand/corporate identity guidelines.
This person will be successful if they are at ease in our fast paced, dynamic, creative environment, and has the ability to multi-task.
Responsibility areas: - Adapt and resize key global creative assets for local use such as: advertising (print and digital), catalogs and brochures, e-mail templates, in-store branded space renderings and concepts, sales and marketing presentations and templates, websites, photos, videos and other specialty projects as assigned.
- Manage daily work as assigned, establish priorities, track work through to completion.
- Ensure all current individual brand corporate identity guidelines are met including words, images, graphics, logos, colors, fonts and sound.
- Work with individual business area leaders and brand marketing leaders to ensure product and marketing copy is market relevant and consumer correct.
- Assist in the collection and transfer of files for all types of projects with global brand HQ's, local vendors, athletes, ambassadors and others as needed.
- Assist in maintaining asset libraries for each brand/business area.
- Utilize designated process for project tracking as well as individual tracking sheets.
- Track project progress, update stakeholders, ensure on-time and complete delivery.
- Deliver recommendations that will allow better service to the evolving business areas and GTM organization in general.
- Provide exceptional customer service to internal teams as well as external parties.
QualificationsNeeded work experience: - Experience working across a variety of mediums in the design and production of the following marcomm elements:
- Corporate Communications, Branding
- Product Design, Packaging
- Promotion (in-store, digital), POP/POS
- 3D in-store branded space environments
- Advertising, Collateral
- Digital Advertisements
- 1-2 years minimum experience in graphic design based education.
- Experience in the design and production of the following digital elements
- Digital Asset Management
- Websites (internal/external)
- CRM (e-mail templates)
- Social Media (videos, photos, ads)
We expect the suitable candidate to have the following qualifications and skills: - Student level knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite (Focus on Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Great in creative writing / copywriting (articulation, expression).
- Strong understanding of social media environment.
- Basic knowledge of photography, photo shoots, separations and printing processes.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively present information, respond to questions and work with cross-functional teams.
- Capacity to work in a complex matrix environment supporting multiple product lines and multiple channels.
Outdoor industry experience and a passion for the outdoors is a plus.Additional InformationContract: Part Time, 6-month internship contract (potential to extend)
