Summary The Graphic Design Intern supports the Creative team by helping develop visually compelling, brand-aligned content for PD Instore's marketing channels. This role collaborates with an experienced Graphic Designer on our team to create and design print and digital materials. The focus of this role is company brand and marketing design, with opportunities to support in client work.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities- Assists with PD branding and marketing projects for both internal and external audiences
- Collaborate on social media content creation, including video and motion-based assets for Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
- Support the development of PD's TikTok strategy in alignment with broader brand goals
- Design and develop assets for print and digital platforms, including email campaigns, newsletters, and marketing collateral
- Participate in brainstorms and content planning for marketing campaigns and events
- Contribute to visual storytelling through culture graphics, photoshoots, and image editing
- Build presentations using Adobe InDesign in alignment with PD's visual standards
- Learn about the fundamentals of fixture and display design through cross-functional project exposure
- Help manage and organize design files, templates, and brand assets
- Foster a culture that values creativity, innovation, collaboration, and empowerment
- Follow all safety and workplace policies
Competencies and Skills- Ability to meet deadlines and take direction from senior team members
- Strong foundation in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro)
- Experience designing for social media platforms including Instagram and TikTok
- Comfort with video editing, content formatting, and platform-specific creative trends
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to multi-platform marketing efforts (email, web, print)
- Ability to collaborate across teams and communicate ideas effectively
- Familiarity with presentation design and storytelling through slides
- Curiosity about the retail and experiential design industries
- Time management capabilities
- Ability to demonstrate and apply PD's workplace values
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications in a Mac OS environment
- Flexibility to travel between multiple PD locations
- Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working environment
Education/Certification- Completed or pursing a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design
- Portfolio that captures your skills and personality
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions- Walking, sitting, bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling and lifting up to 50lbs.
