Koniag Management Solutions, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Grants IT Specialist to provide grant management services across various federal programs for our HHS client located in Washington, DC. The Grants IT Specialist will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the organization's IT and/or data infrastructure, providing technical assistance to employees, and ensuring the security and efficiency of systems.
Primary Functions & Responsibilities The key responsibilities include:
- Provide ongoing support, identify, and resolve technical issues.
- Assist in implementing new technologies and systems.
- Evaluate and analyze client needs.
- Develop tailored solutions for clients and improve business processes, including automated grant application screening.
- Oversee the execution of chosen solutions.
- Educate clients on the use of the provided solutions.
- Gather and analyze client feedback.
- Stay updated on the latest solutions and technologies.
Position Requirements- Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. 5-10 years of experience may be used in lieu of education.
Experience / Skills / Competencies: - Four or more years of relevant experience supporting federal grants management services and systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to write training or technical reports for various audiences.
- Solid organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Strong technical background with hands-on experience in IT operations and/or data management.
- Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and Office 365 administration.
- Solid organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office suite.
- Knowledge of IT security best practices and compliance requirements.
- Experience with backup and recovery procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good to Have: - Experience working with or knowledge of electronic federal grants systems, such as GrantSolutions, is preferred
- Experience working with or knowledge of Head Start, childcare, early childhood education, or other educational programs is preferred
- IT Credentials: CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ certifications - All Preferred.
- Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure)
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)
- ITIL certification - Preferred.
- Scripting skills (PowerShell, Python).
- Experience with mobile device management.
- Knowledge of VoIP systems.
- Experience in government IT environments.
- Project management experience.
