Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position.:- Minimum 3 years of reliable experience working in a professional office environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple projects and complete within deadlines
- Demonstrated communication skills across administrative units
- Basic editing, and time management
- Maintain confidential information
- Ability to prepare clear, concise, and grammatically correct correspondence
- Ability to establish and maintain effective records and files
- Knowledge of accounting, budgeting, hiring, and purchasing practices
Preferred Qualifications:- 5 years in an office environment
- Prior experience in planning successful events/meeting
- Knowledge of Texas State policies and procedures
Job Description:Responsible for performing varied accounting and clerical work in support of assigned grant.
Job Duties:- This position will work on the grant project and assist in the business office as needed.
- Responsible for providing professional supervision and support to a grant
- Prepare grant reports including but not limited to salary/fringe, quarterly, cost share and F&A allocation reports
- Prepare stipend and scholarship awards for students under grant or special accounts
- Placing orders for equipment, supplies, and services within the grant scope of work
- Validate invoices to purchase orders and goods receipts
- Assist with planning large projects
- Assist employees with travel
- Reconciling account
