About the Role Association Management Center is hiring a part-time
GrantsAdministrator, (10 hours per week), to assist the AMC Director of Developmentin various key areas of nonprofit grants operations. This position will providehands-on support in grants management for foundation and federal grants,program evaluation, and association management. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion fornonprofit management to continue to build skills and contribute to the successof impactful programs. The ideal candidate is detailed-oriented and strong inbasic proofreading and document formatting skills and has an interest inlearning the craft of grant proposal development and management. The role is dynamic and supports grants management acrossmore than five multidisciplinaryprofessionals.
Responsibilities: Grants Management Support: (75%)
- Assistin preparing and basic proofreading grant proposals and reports to ensureaccuracy, clarity, and alignment with funder guidelines.
- Helptrack and manage grant deadlines, documentation, and submission requirements.
- Researchpotential funding opportunities and assist with grant prospecting.
Program Evaluation Support: (5%)
- Contributeto the development and refinement of logic models and evaluation frameworks forprogram planning and assessment.
- Assistin gathering and analyzing data to evaluate program outcomes and impact.
- Preparesummaries of evaluation results to support decision-making and future programdevelopment.
Basic Proofreading: (15%)
- Providethorough basic proofreading for various documents, including grant proposals,reports, contracts, and communications, ensuring attention to detail andadherence to organizational standards and funder requirements
- Assistwith maintaining consistency in branding, tone, and style across writtenmaterials.
Special Projects in AssociationManagement:(5%)
- Supportspecial projects related to nonprofit association management as needed.
- Assistin the development of internal systems and processes for better workflow andorganization.
Experience and Skills - Strong basic proofreading skills with keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Adobe, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Takes pride in delivering responsive high-quality customer service.
- 1 year experience working or volunteering in academia, non-profits, or associations preferred.
- Strong interest in nonprofit management, grants, and program evaluation.
- Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability in responding to shifting priorities and timelines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be a self-motivated learner with an interest in researching funder opportunities and requirements.
- Physical:primarily a desk-based role, requiring extended computer use. Work involvessitting, talking, hearing, and typing, with visual acuity required for keyboardusage, data analysis, and computer terminal operation. Occasional light liftingmay be necessary. Compensation: - $23 - $27per hour. Within this range, individualpay is determined by relevant factors, including job-related skills,experience, market data, work location, and education or training.
Location: - This is a hybrid role in Schaumburg, IL.Employees who reside within 50 miles of the office may be expected to workonsite one day per month. At times, there may be circumstances that requireadditional visits to the office.
- Candidates who live more than 50 miles fromthe office, including in and out of IL, may be considered for a remoteopportunity. Out of state applicants may be eligible for hire, depending on thestate in which they reside.
