Other Conditions: Position is expected to begin approximately April 2025. Renewal of appointment is dependent on performance, program needs and/or availability of funds. Position is part-time (50% FTE), temporary appointment renewable depending on availability of funds, satisfactory performance, and the needs of the project.
Duties & Responsibilities - Reviews and audits all phases of fiscal and budgetary needs for departments, including but not limited to tracking expenditures, procurement, process payments and other fiscal documents.
- Reviews travel forms for compliance for federal, state and university rules and regulations.
- Maintains office files and documents for maintenance contracts, reports, procurement, inventory and other standard office records.
- Assists Administrative Officers with extramural grants (e.g. procurement, prepares fiscal documents, prepares budget reports).
- Assists with college-wide functions as needed.
- Coordinates and assists in delivery of college-wide training.
Minimum Qualifications - Baccalaureate degree in Business Administration, Arts and Sciences, Education or related field from an accredited institution.
- Must be a degree-seeking graduate student (Masters or PhD) admitted to or registered in a graduate program at UH Manoa in Business, Education, Social Sciences, Public Administration or related field at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa.
- Must be in good academic standing and maintain full-time enrollment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational, writing, and communication skills.
- Strong interest in learning or honing financial analytical and administrative skills.
- Keen attention to detail and ability to synthesize information.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, and students.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
