Clearance Requirement: Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance Travel Requirements : Minimum 20% Location: Norfolk, VA SUMMARY : WR has a potential opportunity for a GPNTS/NAVSSI Field Representative, Lead to provide US Navy and US Coast Guard Fleet Support to include the operations, maintenance, and repair of the Navigation Sensor System Interface (NAVSSI), Global Positioning System (GPS) - Based Positioning Navigation and Timing Service (GPNTS) Systems, and associated ancillary equipment. Position responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following: Provide leadership and mentoring to junior NAVSSI technicians. Perform Pre-Deployment Grooms (PDAs), system operations, system software loads, system configuration updates, system troubleshooting, system testing and System Operational Verification Testing (SOVT). Compile data and write reports showing findings, deficiencies, and recommendations to the ships for identified problems as well as to the In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA). Troubleshoot, test, and repair GPNTS and NAVSSI equipment and circuit cards. Provide a detailed report for each component. Develop, review, and provide GPNTS and NAVSSI system subject matter expertise support for the update of Allowance Parts Lists (APL), technical manuals, training curriculum, MIPs, MRCs, and various test procedures. Develop, review, and provide Daily Status Reports (DSRs) and Weekly Status Reports (WSRs). Report issues within 24hrs of occurrence. Attend shipboard daily status meetings with a focus on documenting and reporting accomplishments and issues. Attend weekly and monthly program OIPT meetings with a focus on lessons learned, risks, accomplishments, and process improvements. Candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills, and experience: Technical Training in US Navy Navigation equipment and systems. Eight (8) years of hands-on experience with US Navy Navigation equipment and systems, to include (3) of the following (4) areas: Systems Requirements Operational Requirements Test and Evaluation Training Recognized expert who has demonstrated industry and public service leadership in US Navy Navigation equipment and systems. Proficiency in MS Office suite, at least to intermediate level, with a focus on Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Experience with Microsoft Project is desirable. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
