Job Description
Google Cloud DevOps
• 6+ years of software engineering and DevOps experience in enterprise environments.
• 3+ years of GCP or AWS experience in enterprise environments.
• Solid hands-on experience in utilizing Terraform for Infrastructure as Code and should be well versed with all aspects of Terraform such as building modules, publishing modules, testing modules, executing via CI/CD etc.
• Strong expertise in setting up and managing Kubernetes clusters (e.g., EKS, GKE, or AKS) at enterprise scale using automation. Advanced knowledge of Kubernetes networking, node group management, and workload distribution, monitoring workloads on Kubernetes etc.
• Hands-on experience in deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters using CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.
• Experience designing and implementing end-to-end Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like Jenkins / Google Cloud Build. Experience in Configuration Management and Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g. Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Terraform).
• Proficiency in cloud platforms (GCP preferred) with a focus on Kubernetes administration.
• Experience collaborating across multiple functional and/or technical teams to deliver an Agile-based project.
• Demonstrated knowledge of fundamental cloud security (e.g., Identity and Access Management, firewalls, etc ).
• Demonstrated knowledge of monitoring tools for Kubernetes clusters (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog).
• Design, implement, and manage Kubernetes clusters for large-scale enterprise applications.
• Develop networking configurations within Kubernetes, including setting up and managing key configuration parameters.
• Manage node groups, define workload distribution policies, and ensure optimal cluster performance.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for Kubernetes cluster creation and application deployments using Terraform and other automation tools.
• Monitor and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters, identifying and resolving issues to maintain high availability.
• Collaborate with cloud architects to design and build foundational infrastructure for scalable cloud environments.
• Work with cross-functional teams to streamline and enhance the developer experience.
• Ensure adherence to best practices in cloud security and compliance for Kubernetes-based systems.
