Job Purpose: We are seeking a highly capable Senior System Analyst to join a team supporting the Institutional Technology group for a client in the financial sector. The successful candidate will work closely with Software Engineers developing Angular, Java, and Oracle-based applications for Fixed Income, FX, and Syndicate domains. This role is ideal for a motivated, detail-oriented professional who thrives in agile environments and is passionate about delivering value through effective team facilitation, requirement analysis, and product ownership collaboration.
Requirements - Act as both a System Analyst and Scrum Master for a cross-functional Agile squad.
- Support Software Engineers by facilitating Agile ceremonies and removing team impediments.
- Partner with Product Owners and Squad Leads to gather business requirements and translate them into user stories.
- Conduct data analysis, explore system architectures, and contribute to solution design and documentation.
- Facilitate backlog grooming, sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and demos.
- Promote Agile best practices and continuous improvement across the squad.
- Collaborate with distributed teams and navigate cross-team communication effectively.
- Ensure solutions are aligned with business needs and that implemented features meet defined acceptance criteria.
- Support and manage Jira workflows and reporting for transparency and progress tracking.
Required Skills & Experience: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in a technology-driven environment, with exposure to cross-functional team dynamics.
- Prior experience as a Scrum Master within Agile development teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen understanding of data models and systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build trust and rapport with stakeholders and team members.
- Strong organization, detail orientation, and facilitation capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to foster a high-performance, collaborative team culture.
- Familiarity with Agile tools such as Jira.
- Experience within the financial services industry is preferred.
- Exposure to cloud-based development in financial applications is a plus.
