REMOTE GLOBAL FORWARDING SALES EXECUTIVE
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Global Forwarding Sales Executive to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in cross-border logistics, Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier (NVOCC), Less-than-Container Load (LCL), Full Container Load (FCL), Customs Brokerage, Compliance, Tariffs, and the broader freight forwarding industry. The role will involve driving sales growth, cultivating strong client relationships, and delivering customized solutions in the complex and competitive global logistics market.
As a Sales Executive in the Global Forwarding sector, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, managing customer accounts, and ensuring all sales activities align with the company's strategic goals and compliance regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales & Business Development:
- Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities in global freight forwarding.
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, including logistics managers, supply chain professionals, and procurement teams.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging opportunities and trends in global logistics.
- Drive sales strategies to increase market share in cross-border logistics, NVOCC services, and related offerings.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Understand and address client needs related to international freight forwarding, including LCL, FCL, cross-border shipping, and customs brokerage.
- Provide tailored solutions to meet customer requirements while ensuring cost-efficiency and compliance with international regulations.
- Manage and develop a portfolio of existing clients by offering value-added services and consistently exceeding service expectations.
- Knowledge & Expertise:
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of NVOCC, LCL, FCL shipping methods, customs brokerage, and international trade compliance.
- Stay updated on current customs regulations, tariffs, and trade compliance issues affecting cross-border shipments.
- Provide guidance and support to clients regarding documentation requirements, customs clearance processes, and tariff classifications.
- Advise clients on optimizing supply chain and logistics strategies to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
- Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure all sales activities comply with international trade regulations, customs laws, and internal company policies.
- Collaborate with the compliance and legal teams to mitigate any risks associated with shipping, tariffs, or regulatory changes.
- Maintain accurate records of transactions and client communications to ensure transparency and adherence to industry standards.
- Reporting & Analytics:
- Monitor and report on sales performance, pipeline development, and client satisfaction.
- Develop and present regular sales forecasts, track revenue, and ensure targets are met or exceeded.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience & Background:
- Proven track record in sales, preferably within the global forwarding, logistics, or supply chain industry.
- In-depth knowledge of cross-border logistics, NVOCC, LCL, FCL, customs brokerage, and international trade compliance.
- Familiarity with global customs regulations, tariffs, and import/export documentation requirements.
- Experience with industry-standard freight forwarding software and tools is a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong sales, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to build and nurture long-term client relationships.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to deliver effective solutions in a fast-paced environment.
- Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Language Skills:
- Proficiency in English is required; additional language skills are a plus, particularly in languages commonly spoken in global logistics.
