Krispy Kreme's Global Shop Design Project Manager is primarily responsible for partnering with our markets around the world to assist them in adapting the prototype design to each new and remodeled shop. They will be responsible for managing the creative design process for Krispy Kreme shops working cross-functionally with various departments and consultants. This includes but is not limited to hands on design including creating test-fits and renderings, design development and direction, oversight of new shop experiences, adaptation of previous design standards in existing shop formats, and updating the design documents and design guidelines as needed. This is primarily a creative design position, with some project management involved as well. A TASTE OF WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:Create unique experiential designs for Krispy Kreme locations internationally.Layout test-fits for site plans and tenants finish out projects in a quick and efficient manner.Create realistic renderings and 3D models of proposed shops.Assist and support franchisees in their design efforts including store planning, site planning, prototype designs and new fixture developmentDrive the execution of process and facilitate meetings involving Real Estate, Construction, Operations, and outside vendors.Responsible for feedback and direction to all vendor teams, consultants and contractors during the initial design phase in the management of the scope of itiate and develop new store design initiatives including architectural, interior, graphic and merchandising elementsLead efforts to share best practices across franchisee markets with respect to store designIdentify potential issues and be an independent thinker that develops solutions while also working with the parties involved.Consults with all markets with a forecast of future remodel and new store development timelinesProvides clear, effective and timely communication of design direction and changes as well as Identifies exceptions and proposes solutions revolving around the design development process. YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS: 6+ years of experience of commercial store design in the restaurant or retail industry2+ years' experience working in a design consultant firm.Bachelor's degree in architecture or interior design from an accredited universityExperience managing outside design consultants including architectural, interior, and graphic expertsGeneral understanding of building codes, environmental regulations, permitting and NSF standards Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of architectural design plans and materials Proficiency in the use of personal computers and design software including current industry software such as AutoCAD or Revit, 3D Studio and Sketch-Up Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and build effective working relationships Multi lingual ability considered a plus The above statements are intended to describe the general nature of work performed by the employees assigned to this job and are not the official job description for the position.
