Job Purpose: Responsible for performing outbound activities (e.g., cold calls, cold emails, event follow-ups) to educate and qualify our global Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) prospects within global target markets. This Top-of-Funnel function plays a critical role in uncovering insights into global target markets and sales channels while qualifying and handing off leads to the Global Sales Team to close new business and generate revenue.
Duties:
- Develop new global sales opportunities (global pipeline) within global target markets using outbound cold emails, cold calls, and lead follow-ups.
- Communicate with global prospects (e.g., targeted distributor partners) to understand their needs and requirements and identify global sales opportunities.
- Conduct global market research to identify new leads by target market, channel, and/or product focus.
- Stay up to date on Lucas Oil products, global competitor activity, and general industry trends.
- Partner with the SVP of Global Sales to set up in-person meetings with prospects at international conferences and events.
- Collect and capture information in for future communications and global marketing support.
- Partner with Sales Management on continuous process improvement and the definition of Qualified leads.
- As appropriate, answer global prospect questions, resolve concerns and provide additional information via phone and email (no travel required).
- Consistently meet or exceed key performance indicator (KPI) goals set by leadership.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Bilingual required: English plus fluent in at least one of the following languages: Spanish (preferred), German, French, Italian, or Portuguese. Multilingual preferred.
- Strong communication skills with ability to articulate Lucas Oil value propositions, ask probing questions, and actively listen to prospect responses to build rapport and trust.
- Able to research and find prospects that fit Lucas Oil's Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) across multiple product offerings and in multiple global territories.
- Mastery of sales tools such as LinkedIn, Sales Intel, Salesforce, and HubSpot.
- Discipline to follow processes and provide feedback to leadership while being open minded to try, suggest and/or lead new initiatives.
- Team first mindset and results driven.
- Ability to listen, acknowledge and overcome objections.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to analyze your own activities to improve prospect engagement.
- 2+ Years of Business Development, Sales, Sales Support or similar experience.
