GIS User Support L2 GTC - TS/SCI Poly required Annapolis Junction, MD Information Technology Apply Now We are looking for a support desk team member with GIS experience to join our established team. Desired candidates should have knowledge of geospatial tools and technologies and a computer science background. Members of the support team are responsible for: Managing a Jira service desk serving thousands of customers throughout the IC Promptly responding to user support requests focusing on using GIS commercial products (mostly Esri technologies) as well as in house developed geospatial focused web services. Ensuring service level agreements for responding to and resolving customer generated issues are met. Working with the development team to help identify new user requirements to support mission focused workflows Collaborate with geospatial software vendors to obtain, test and deploy software to the enterprise Provide proactive outreach throughout the enterprise to assist users in applying geospatial principles and techniques to their workflows. Writing and maintaining documentation including knowledge base articles and user guides Helping to implement a positive, customer-focused culture Required Qualifications Ten (10) years' experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity within the Federal Government is required. A Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional GIS system engineer/analyst experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree. Experience with using geospatial products and tools. Experience with Esri products preferred Ability to work independently to solve problems Must have strong written and oral communication skills Ability to multi-task, while ensuring priority deadlines are met Must show ambition and the desire to continually learn and be challenged Desired Qualifications Experience with using Jira Service Desk Experience with performing analysis, data manipulation, data creation and other geospatial processes with ArcGIS Apply Now
