Our client, a regional transportation agency, is seeking a part-time MAPS Analyst to support its Traffic Engineering data systems team. This team develops GIS-based tools and dashboards that track traffic conditions and the impacts of construction activity. These tools also provide real-time updates to major navigation platforms like Google Maps, Waze, and Apple Maps. Support the development and maintenance of GIS applications for traffic and construction monitoring Manage data integrations with navigation platforms to ensure accurate public information Develop dashboards and tools for internal use by operational leaders Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure tool effectiveness Follow Agile development practices and participate in regular planning sessions Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field At least 5 years of experience in GIS/Mapping development, demonstrated through three relevant projects Experience developing and maintaining GIS applications in the transportation sector Proficiency with Google Maps, ArcGIS, and similar geospatial tools Experience working with navigation platforms such as Google Maps, Apple Maps, and Waze Proficiency with JIRA for task tracking and collaboration Strong programming skills in languages commonly used for GIS, such as Python, JavaScript, C , or R Familiarity with web development (HTML, CSS, and frameworks like Angular, React, or Vue.js) Experience with version control systems such as Git, and development environments Understanding of web services including RESTful APIs and SOAP Knowledge of UI/UX best practices 7+ years of total experience in application development Proven success in delivering and supporting software applications Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments Knowledge of the transportation industry and relevant compliance or operational standards Benefits: Sick Time 401k Pay Range: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour (Depending on experience and qualifications) By applying for this job, you agree to receive calls, AI-generated calls, text messages, or emails from HEPCO, Inc and its affiliates, and contracted partners.
