Join Us as a Geotechnical Engineer in Shaping the Future of Energy at Sizewell C.
Are you ready to make a tangible impact in the engineering world and contribute to a project of national significance? As part of the CWA, we are at the forefront of constructing Sizewell C, a groundbreaking 3.2-gigawatt power station set to generate low-carbon electricity for 6 million homes over the next 60 years. This venture promises to be a cornerstone of the UK's clean energy future, and we're inviting you to play a pivotal role in its success.
At CWA, we are looking for an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join our dynamic team at the SZC Project Office in London. In this position, you will be integral to the Engineering and Technical function within the Civil Works Programme. You will actively support the delivery of geotechnical aspects of enabling works and earthworks, collaborating closely with SZC participants, including client design teams and our geotechnical leads.
You will spearhead initiatives to understand the onshore and offshore geotechnical conditions of the SZC site, ensuring seamless construction delivery. You'll have the opportunity to define and scope geotechnical trials and tests, ensuring data is transmitted effectively across contractor supply chains. Your expertise will be crucial in reviewing technical reports and contributing to risk management strategies.
Your role will be highly collaborative, requiring you to engage with key stakeholders such as the UK Government, EDF, regulators, and local communities. As such, strong communication skills and the ability to convey complex geotechnical concepts clearly are essential.
We are looking for someone with a degree and professional qualifications, coupled with in depth relevant experience, particularly in major project construction and geotechnics. If you have expertise in deep foundations, ground improvement techniques, and large-scale earthworks, you will fit right in.
At CWA, we value humility, positivity, respect, solidarity, and clarity. These behaviors drive our success and make us a cohesive, empowered team. If you share these values and are ready to contribute to a landmark project, we encourage you to apply.
