As the Department Manager, you will oversee all aspects of our Geotechnical and CMT operations-from project execution and client relations to team leadership and strategic planning. You'll work closely with senior leadership and have a clear path to advancement, including the opportunity to progress to progress into the Texas lead.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team of geotechnical engineers, technicians, and project managers.
- Oversee geotechnical investigations, laboratory testing, and construction materials testing services.
- Maintain and grow client relationships, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
- Drive department growth through strategic planning, business development, and operational excellence.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality control protocols.
- Mentor junior staff and foster a collaborative, high-performance culture.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in geotechnical engineering and/or CMT, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong technical knowledge, project management skills, and business acumen.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
