Geographic Information System Supervisor

Job Description:

• Compile data from many spatial and non-spatial sources to support a variety of end users.
• Ongoing maintenance of spatial data engine.
• Oversee Quality Checks based on current GIS attribute standards.
• Integrate GPS field collected data with standardized GIS database.
• Trains GIS and Non-GIS users on new processes, tools or techniques to assist in varying workflows.
• Maintain licensing of all GIS or GIS related software and hardware.
• Look for ways to effectively improve software, hardware, or daily processes that support ongoing GIS Operations.
• Perform typical to complex GIS operations and statistical analyses via project requests.
• Automated python script maintenance.
• Creates, updates and maintains ArcGIS Online web map products related to the organization.
• Maintains, updates and creates necessary CAD drawings.
• Metadata updates as needed.
• Assist in receiving and management of Cable Locate Requests.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
• Associate's degree may be considered with a minimum of 8 years of experience.
• Experience with ESRI ARCMap and AutoCAD
• Prior management experience / history leading a team
• Telecommunications experience
