Duties and Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and diagnose both routine maintenance and emergency services on standby diesel generators
- Diagnose and fix issues with AC and DC controls and equipment, including engine controllers, AVRs, battery chargers, block heaters, ATS, and switchgear.
- Perform load bank test and repair charging systems
- Change engine fluids and filters and refuel generators
- Work on, switchgear, automatic transfer switches
- Travel within territory to customer sites- 75% of the time
Qualifications and Skills
- 3+ years of experience working with diesel and gas generators
- Own tools
- Experience servicing: MTU, Caterpillar; Cummins; and Kohler
- Rotational On-Call
- Must possess a valid drivers license
