We are seeking a Generalist Project Manager (Level I or II) with proven experience supporting U.S. Air Force acquisition programs and training transformation initiatives. This role will focus on enabling Acquisition Readiness through business analysis, process improvement, and delivery of training and strategic workforce solutions aligned with AFSTS Task Areas. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical capabilities, consulting experience, and a working knowledge of DoD acquisition processes to improve performance, enable learning, and support enterprise transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct readiness assessments and assist in designing and delivering acquisition-related training plans, workshops, and materials to Air Force personnel.
Translate stakeholder needs into actionable recommendations, helping improve acquisition outcomes and workforce capability.
Perform business needs assessments, gap analyses, and stakeholder interviews to shape training and readiness strategies.
Support development and tracking of program management deliverables, timelines, and milestone documentation.
Collaborate with functional teams and SMEs to define, model, and document business processes, recommending efficiency improvements.
Support change management and communication plans to increase adoption of acquisition readiness initiatives.
Analyze data and organizational metrics to generate dashboards, KPIs, and decision-making tools for readiness reporting.
Participate in benchmarking activities to compare current-state practices against industry/government standards and inform continuous improvement.Level-Specific Responsibilities:
Project Manager I: Supports team activities and deliverables under guidance from senior staff.
Contributes to analysis, research, stakeholder coordination, and documentation efforts.
Prepares slide decks, reports, and process maps for client engagement and leadership review.Project Manager II: Independently supports client engagements and leads workstream activities.
Develops and implements business solutions that align with strategic objectives and policy requirements.
Applies change management principles to stakeholder-facing activities and training deployments.
Conducts process diagnostics and contributes to transformation roadmaps across functional domains. Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Administration, Education, Engineering, or related field.
Generalist Project Manager I: 4 years plus of relevant experience.
Generalis Project Manager II: 5 years plus of experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
Understanding of DoD and U.S. Air Force acquisition lifecycle, PPBE processes, and strategic readiness goals.
Experience supporting training, workforce development, or program support efforts within defense programs.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite, data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI), and process modeling tools (e.g., Visio)
Secret clearance is required
