Job summary
Come and work where Snowdonia meets the historic town of Conwy. Llanfairfechan Group Practices are recruiting a Salaried GP to work in Conwy. Our team ethos embraces comprehensive generalist care in the community.
We focus on making general practice accessible again, including using digital platforms like AccuRx for flexible patient-staff interactions. Our ethos also involves community participation in strategic decisions.
Our clinical team includes 2 GP partners, 2 salaried GPs, and a multidisciplinary team. We are the only practice in North Wales employing our own physiotherapist and clinical community nurse.
We welcome new ideas, from creating multidisciplinary teams to digital triage. Our team cares deeply about community health. We hold weekly clinical meetings, are a teaching practice (medical, nursing, GP trainees), and participate in research with links to Bangor, Cardiff, Liverpool, and Imperial College London.
Main duties of the job
The role involves working as a Salaried GP across Gyffin and Llys Meddyg, offering clinics via AccuRx, supporting the clinical team, participating in MDT meetings, conducting audits, and engaging in CPD sessions under supervision.

Meddygfa Gyffin and Llys Meddyg Surgeries, based in Conwy, are part of the Llanfairfechan Group Practices, serving a community of 6,500 patients with Emis and AccuRx systems.
Our team includes GPs, an advanced nurse practitioner, practice nurse, healthcare assistant, phlebotomist, physiotherapist, occupational therapist, and pharmacy tech, supported by care navigation and admin staff.
Job responsibilities
- Manage patient caseloads, providing treatment and care for undifferentiated diagnoses.
- Collaborate with secondary and third-sector providers to coordinate care.
- Handle complex cases, initiate diagnostic tests, and interpret findings.
- Perform QA activities, record consultations clearly, and conduct home visits for housebound patients.
- Assist in research, lead audits, and provide training to team members including students.
- Participate in staff meetings and contribute to practice development projects.
- Maintain awareness of income, expenditure, and participate in income generation initiatives.
- Organise and prioritize your caseload, ensuring professional development and adherence to policies.
- Maintain confidentiality, support equality and diversity, and participate in ongoing training.
- Strive for quality improvement, effective communication, and contribute to service implementation.
Person Specification Qualifications
- Full GMC Registration
- CCT in General Practice or equivalent
- Included on a Medical Performers List or eligible
- Specialist interest in Minor Surgery, Family Planning, or Women's Health
Experience
- Primary care general practice experience
- Interest in minor surgery, family planning, or women's health
Skills/Other
- Supervision and training skills
- Teamwork and initiative
- Ability to travel between sites
- Interest in innovative practice methods
- Proficiency in EMIS and AccuRx
- Welsh speaker preferred
