Position Information

UCR Health and the University of California, Riverside (UCR) School of Medicine is seeking a part time and/or full-time general OBGYN Staff Physician. Candidate must possess an M.D. or D.O. and have a demonstrated career focus in obstetrics. We are seeking an experienced OB-GYN to join our team.

You will be responsible for testing, diagnosing, treating, and monitoring diseases and issues related to women's health, and providing medical counsel and support to women during pregnancy and childbirth.

To be successful as an OB-GYN, you should be a highly-skilled specialist who is passionate about women's healthcare. Top candidates will also be good communicators and educators. Active candidates for this program must be board certified and must have ACLS for OB and NRP certification.

A minimum of one year of practice post residency training from an accredited residency training program is required.

Applicants must qualify for medical staff privileges at UCR Health and UCR affiliated hospitals.

The full salary range for the OB/GYN Physician Specialist is from $118,100 - $302,700 annually, with additional compensation eligibility based on clinical productivity. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure, certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.

Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.

As a University employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements.



Education

Education Requirements
  • Must possess an M.D., D.O. or equivalent degree. (Required)
License Requirements
  • Possession of the legal requirements for the practice of medicine in California as determined by the California Medical Board. (Required)
  • Maintenance of California Medical License and Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) prescribing number. (Required)
Certification Requirements
  • Obstetrics and Gynecology Board Certification. (Required)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. (Required)
  • ACLS for OB (Required)
  • NRP Certification (Required)


Experience Requirements
  • Minimum of one (1) year of practice exclusive of internship/residency (post internship/residency). (Required)
  • Strong background and skills in clinical practice, clinical teaching, and managed care. (Preferred)
  • Computer proficiency and first-hand experience in using electronic health records systems to document patient interactions and coordinate care. (Preferred)

Advanced communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to stay abreast of new medical knowledge, and to maintain and increase expertise and skills as relevant to clinical practice. Ability to work independently under general direction and to work collaboratively with others. Ability to work effectively with staff and patients from diverse ethnic/racial backgrounds, educational levels, sexual orientations and identities.
