Position Overview:
As a Restaurant Manager/Kitchen Manager, you will play a crucial role in both front-of-house and back-of-house operations. You will be responsible for overseeing daily restaurant activities, managing kitchen staff, ensuring food quality, implementing standards for guest service, maintaining a safe and clean environment, and optimizing profitability. A strong sense of leadership, organization, and a hands-on approach to operations are essential for this role.
Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise front-of-house and back-of-house teams, ensuring smooth coordination between both.

Manage day-to-day operations of the restaurant, including overseeing food preparation, kitchen cleanliness, inventory, and ordering supplies.

Develop and maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and portion control.

Ensure the safety and cleanliness of the kitchen and dining areas by adhering to health and safety regulations.

Train, mentor, and develop kitchen and restaurant staff, fostering a positive team environment.

Handle scheduling, staffing, and payroll for kitchen and restaurant employees.

Monitor and maintain inventory levels and manage food cost control.

Implement and maintain effective communication with staff to ensure customer satisfaction.

Resolve customer complaints and ensure a high-quality guest experience at all times.

Manage budgets, financial reports, and meet sales and profitability goals.

Enforce company policies and best practices, maintaining high standards of customer service.
Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager, Kitchen Manager, or similar role in a casual dining setting.

Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety regulations, and inventory management.

Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Experience in staff management, including training and performance evaluation.

Ability to manage budgets and financial reports.

Strong problem-solving abilities and customer service skills.

Flexibility in working hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Culinary background and/or relevant certifications (preferred).
