Dudley's is a bustling, all-day café and restaurant in the heart of the Lower East Side, known for its warm Australian hospitality, elevated casual dining, and thoughtfully curated beverage program. With over $10 million in annual revenue, Dudley's is seeking a proven General Manager to lead one of NYC's highest-performing restaurant teams. Position Overview As General Manager, you'll lead all front-of-house operations, oversee a large and diverse team, and collaborate closely with our culinary and beverage departments. You will champion service standards, financial accountability, and team development while maintaining the welcoming, high-energy environment that makes Dudley's a favorite among locals and visitors alike.
Key Responsibilities - Oversee daily FOH operations in a high-volume ($10M+ annual) setting
- Lead with a guest-first mentality while upholding elevated service standards
- Manage and develop FOH staff through training, coaching, and clear performance expectations
- Maintain excellence in beverage operations, including coffee, wine, and cocktails
- Monitor and manage labor, COGS, inventory, and daily financial reporting
- Ensure full compliance with Department of Health, labor, and safety standards
- Collaborate cross-functionally with culinary, bar, marketing, and corporate leadership
- Actively participate in recruitment, training, scheduling, and employee development
- Foster a team culture that is engaged, professional, and accountable
Education, Experience & Skill Requirements - Completion of Company General Manager Training Program (or willingness to complete)
- Alcohol Awareness, Food Handling, Gaming Registration, and PCI/DSS certifications (or ability to obtain)
- Minimum 8 years of hospitality experience, with at least 3 in a General Manager or senior leadership role in a high-volume environment
- Associate degree (Hospitality, Business, etc.) or equivalent experience preferred
- Strong foundation in guest service, leadership, and team-building
- Deep understanding of financials: P&L statements, budgeting, forecasting, labor models, and COGS
- Organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
- Tech-savvy: proficient in Microsoft Office, POS systems, and restaurant tech platforms
Physical Requirements & Work Conditions - Ability to stand, walk, lift, and bend for extended periods

Compensation & Benefits - $100,000-$110,000 base salary, commensurate with experience
