General Manager - overseeing Front of House and Back of House

Job Overview Morada Bay is seeking a skilled and visionary Food and Beverage General Manager to join our team. This pivotal role involves leading the food and beverage operations at our Beach Club and Pierre's, driving excellence in guest service, and ensuring profitability and growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and direction to all food and beverage outlets (FOH and BOH), ensuring adherence to guest service standards for growth and profitability.
  • Collaborate with the Food & Beverage Director on strategic planning and vision implementation, aligning with company objectives.
  • Contribute to menu development in partnership with the Executive Chef.
  • Achieve budgetary goals related to revenue, cost control, and profit margins.
  • Manage ordering for supplies, wine, liquor, beer, and linen.
  • Conduct accurate and timely monthly inventories of all F&B products, excluding food.
  • Participate in the recruitment and retention of team members.
  • Oversee onboarding and ongoing training of staff, ensuring alignment with company policies and service standards.
  • Provide floor management during specified shifts to ensure optimal coverage and service.
  • Adjust staffing levels as needed for operational efficiency.
  • Undertake other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Education & Experience
  • General Manager or Senior Leadership experience and/or training in food and beverage management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in relevant software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Preferred Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in a relevant field.
Qualifications
  • Proven leadership skills with experience in managing diverse teams.
  • Strong understanding of budget management and financial reporting.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
  • Knowledge of food service operations and current industry trends.

Education
Hotel/Restaurant Management Degree Preferred

Skills and Experience
At least 5 years in food and beverage managerial position with at least 1 year in luxury hotel setting
Intermediate/Adavanced computer skills
Possess a good command of the English language and ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate with guests, both in person and by telephone
Strong Food and Beverage knowledge
