Summary

We are seeking a strategic, results-driven General Manager to oversee all operations of our HVAC and Refrigeration business. This leadership role is responsible for driving profitability, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence across service and installation departments. The General Manager will lead cross-functional teams, manage financial performance, ensure safety compliance, and uphold the company's core values.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the regional HVAC/R business.
  • Monitor KPIs to ensure operational efficiency, technician productivity, and job quality.
  • Implement best practices and process improvements across teams.
  • Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and P&L performance.
  • Forecasts manpower requirements.
  • Analyze financial reports to identify trends, reduce costs, and increase profitability.
  • Drive revenue growth through strong sales strategies and operational alignment.
  • Lead, coach, and develop managers, technicians, and support staff.
  • Partner with HR to recruit, onboard, and retain top talent.
  • Create a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through responsive communication and quality service.
  • Resolve escalated customer issues professionally and promptly.
  • Build long-term customer relationships and partnerships.
  • Ensure adherence to all OSHA, EPA, and local/state regulations.
  • Promote and enforce company safety programs and policies.
  • Maintain all required certifications, licensing, and training for team compliance.
  • Embodies the CoolSys CARES culture (Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, Empowerment, Safety).
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of increasing leadership experience in the HVAC and/or Refrigeration industry.
  • Knowledge of commercial refrigeration and HVAC principles and practices, including service hour estimation, labor forecasting, and multiple disciplines involved in area of responsibility.
  • Proven success managing P&L responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in managing multiple assignments, setting and balancing competing priorities with strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC/R operations, scheduling, and workflow management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Construction Management, or related field is a plus.
  • Familiarity with industry software is preferred.
  • EPA certification or HVAC/R license is a plus.
