DISCO Corporation's U.S affiliate, DISCO Hi-Tec America, Inc. (DHA), is looking for a General Accountant to join the expanding Accounting Team in our San Jose office.
Title: General Accountant
Location: San Jose, CA
Salary: 60K - 100k per year
This is a full-time position with benefits including Bonuses, Insurance (Medical, Dental, Vision, Life), Health Savings Account, 401(k) program, Paid Time Off and Paid Holidays.
Essential Job Functions:
• Responsible for daily general ledgers and journal entries.
• Check data accuracy and update for general accounting.
• Process monthly and year end closings, preparing and participating in internal and external audits.
• Support Accounts Payable team with various tasks.
• Responsible for using Excel to analyze and report financial figures to managers upon requests.
• Assist with DISCO internal managerial accounting tasks (WILL).
• Participate, contribute, and handle various DISCO corporate activities focusing on deeper thinking, value exchange, and constant improvement.
• Perform other duties as assigned an a member of the Operations department.
Qualifications:
• Knowledge and experience of general accounting, with background and experience in Accounts Payable as a must.
• Detail-Oriented with strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
• Flexible, open minded individual who seeks for continuous improvement of tasks.
• Strong analyzation and problem solving skills.
• Able to work with minimum supervision.
• Proficiency in Japanese is a plus.
Education and Experience:
• 3+ years of corporate accounting experience, AP experience needed.
• Must have experience working in a fast-paced, growing company with over 100 employees.
• Proficiency of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience in manufacturing or similar industry is a plus.
