Hospital-employed gastroenterologist role: Serve a single hospital with no local GI competition. Patient demographics and procedures: Focus on adult and geriatric patients; ERCP proficiency is advantageous but not mandatory. Structured schedule: Dedicated clinic and surgery days; call duty of 10 days/month, including one weekend. Robust facilities and procedure volume: Access to 5 ORs and 2 GI suites; performed 1,500 scopes in 2024 with potential for increased volume.
