We are seeking an experienced Gastroenterologist to join our team in a Gastro Hospitalist role. This position involves rotating between multiple facilities. Due to a recent retirement, there is an ongoing need for a full-time provider until a permanent provider is hired. We require a minimum availability of 2 weeks per month if filling the role with two part-time providers.
If a full-time provider is available and interested in performing outpatient procedures, this is welcomed. Successful locum candidates may be considered for a permanent position.
Coverage Details:- Weekday coverage: 8 AM - 5 PM- Patient encounters per shift: 5
Qualifications:- Board Certification required- Estimated credentialing timeframe: 90 days- Fellowship training: 2
Certifications Required:- ACLS- BLS
Trauma and Facility Information:- Trauma Level 2 facility- No Pediatric Emergency Department
Specialty Skills Required:- Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology - Upper GI endoscopy with biopsy and foreign body removal - Diagnostic ERCP - Esophageal dilatation/manometry - Esophageal manometry interpretation - Small bowel biopsy - Lower GI endoscopy - Flexible and rigid sigmoidoscopy - Colonoscopy with biopsy and excision of polyp
