Gastroenterology Physician

Locums Opportunity - Gastroenterologist - Rockport, Maine Are you a board-certified gastroenterologist looking for a flexible, no-call assignment in a scenic coastal town? This is a great opportunity to join a supportive team in Rockport, Maine, with consistent monthly coverage needs and a strong clinical setup. Key Details:
•   Assignment begins ASAP and runs through December 2026
•   Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts with a 30-minute lunch break
•   No weekends, no call
•   Overtime only with prior approval
•   Coverage needed for specific weeks (must be available at least once a month; full coverage preferred):
•   August 18-22, August 25-29
•   September 2-5, 15-19, 22-26, 29-October 3
•   October 6-10, 20-24, 27-31
•   November 24-26, 28
•   Flexible December availability
•   Endoscopy procedures in OR and potential clinic work one day per week
•   Outpatient adult cases only Practice Environment:
•   Full support staff in OR
•   14-16 patients per clinic day
•   Onsite lab and X-ray
•   Epic EMR
•   Anesthesiology team includes both CRNA and MD present during procedures
•   Procedures include:
•   Lower GI Endoscopy, Sigmoidoscopy, Colonoscopy
•   Upper GI Endoscopy (Biopsy, Foreign Body Removal, Banding of Varices, Diagnostic)
•   Therapeutic procedures preferred but not required Requirements:
•   Board Certified in Gastroenterology (ABMS or AOA)
•   Active Maine license preferred, but not mandatory for the right candidate
•   Must be available for the specified dates above
•   ACLS and BLS certifications required
•   Institutional ADR data requested at time of name clear (goal: ?35% for all genders)
