Job Description: Locum Tenens Physician - Gastroenterology
Join a well-established healthcare facility located in Orange, California, at Providence St. Joseph Hospital. This reputable hospital offers a supportive environment and advanced medical resources. We are seeking dedicated Gastroenterology Physicians to provide exceptional care for patients starting July 1, 2025. Our practice involves inpatient gastroenterology consults as well as running the GI consult service in-house. With a strong commitment to quality patient care, you will play a critical role in our team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide inpatient and Emergency Department gastroenterology consults.
- Run the GI consult service in-house, managing an average of 9 consults per day.
- Participate in the beeper call system, with a call response time of 20-30 minutes.
- Perform ERCP procedures, with EUS preferred.
- Ensure smooth operation through emergency privileging, if applicable.
- Monitor and maintain patient care standards in alignment with hospital protocols.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Gastroenterology.
- Active California medical license.
- Ability to obtain emergency privileging with a clear file.
- Experience with ERCP; EUS experience preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and dedication to patient care.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Current California medical license.
- Board Certification in Gastroenterology.
