Vanderbilt University Medical Center s Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition is seeking a faculty gastroenterologist with interest in nutrition support, celiac disease, and capsule endoscopy at the main campus in Nashville, Tennessee.

Position Highlights:
  • Vanderbilt s Gastroenterology Division is comprised of nearly 80 clinicians, clinician educators, physician-scientists, APPs, and investigators.
  • This Clinician Educator track position offers a variety of clinical care that includes general gastroenterology, nutrition support, celiac disease, and capsule endoscopy. Willing to train the right candidate.
  • Clinical time is divided evenly between clinic, procedures, and TPN rounds.
  • Great work/life balance take general GI night call only one week per year, and TPN call from home only 4 weekends per year.
  • The Center for Human Nutrition is the only intestinal failure program in the region and offers the only dedicated celiac disease clinic in the southeast. Our multidisciplinary in-house team includes pharmacists, dieticians, case managers, and highly trained nursing staff.
  • Teach fellows, residents, and other learners with a faculty appointment to VUMC. Opportunity to participate in research, QI projects, or protocol development during protected academic time.

Qualifications: MD/DO with board certification or eligibility in Gastroenterology with a solid commitment to the Vanderbilt values of innovation, collaboration, and quality. Certification in Nutrition Support (CNSC) or willing to obtain certification within the first year of employment.
