Gastroenterology Locum Opportunity - Muncie, Indiana (IMLC Accepted) Position Type: Locum TenensSpecialty: Gastroenterology Overview:A well-established GI practice in Muncie, Indiana is seeking a board-certified gastroenterologist to provide locum inpatient coverage starting September 1, 2025. This long-term assignment supports a 1-in-5 call rotation while the group recruits permanent providers. Assignment Details:
•   Coverage Dates: September 1, 2025 - September 1, 2026
•   Schedule: 7-day blocks (Thursday 5:00 PM to Thursday 5:00 PM)
•   On-Call: 24-hour call (8:00 AM - 8:00 AM)
•   Anticipated Need: 20 weeks of coverage across the assignment period
•   Setting: Inpatient only Clinical Scope:
•   Consults per day: 5-8
•   Inpatient procedures per day: 5-8
•   Inpatient census: Up to 25 patients, managed with support from 2 APPs
•   Procedures: Full anesthesia support for all GI procedures
•   Call Response Time: 60 minutes
•   Patient Mix: Assigned and unassigned Practice Environment:
•   Group includes 3 permanent full-time GI physicians
•   Facility is Trauma Level I
•   EMR: Cerner Requirements:
•   Board Certified in Gastroenterology
•   Fellowship required
•   Active Indiana license (IMLC accepted)
